DARPin Toolbox expanded for p63 analysis

Aktualisiert: 11. Juli 2022

Did you ever want to inhibit or detect the different domains of a transcription factor specially? EMTHERA researcher Volker Dötsch and colleagues established a tollbox based on Designed Ankyrin Repeat Proteins (DARPins) to investigate the function and expression of p63. In the latest issue of Nature, they describe the characterization of a set of DARPins specifically recognizing all folded domains of p63. The DARPins can be used both as intracellular inhibitors modulating transcriptional activity and to specifically detect p63 in cell culture and primary tissue. All sequences for DARPins have been published, such that this versatile research tool for studying the function of p63 is available to the entire scientific community.
